Paul Andrew Gomez, ambassador of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to China, introduced the economic situation in the Bahamas, the cooperation status between China and Bahamas, etc., highlighting the characteristics of the Bahamas taking tourism, finance and other services as the pillar of its economy. Journalists raised some questions on the Bahamas foreign investment policy, education and cultural development, opinions towards China's "Belt and Road" initiative and other issues.
The Bahamas will continue to participate in the Caribbean national special event on May 30 at 2017 Fair with special focus on financial, hotel management and legal services. At the same time, it will set up a 130-square-meter booth in the international exhibition area. The embassy expressed great expectations for 2017 Fair and think it will bring a variety of cooperation opportunities for Chinese and the Bahamas enterprises.
