Six Industrial Sectors of Lhasa were shown on “CIFTIS” and 51 projects were signed with 15 billion Yuan


On 29th May, Lhasa delegation which was invited to attend the 5th CIFTIS held an investment promotion conference at Tibet Building at which 51 projects were signed with nearly 15 billion Yuan. To promote Tibet Lhasa’s advantages in resources and locations, to showcase open and harmonious investment environment and large potential prospects, to constantly strengthen and expand trade cooperation and communication between Lhasa and Beijing, even other regions of China, Lhasa introduced six industrial sectors. The number of enterprises with leaders who attended this promotion event accounted for over 90%. An activity of tasting healthy special food from “Tibetan plateau, pure land” was also held in this conference in Beijing, making the special food known to the public.

 

The six industrial sectors included Lhasa’s cultural tourism, green industry, modern service industry, financial science and technology, “pure land” health industry and health industry with plateau characteristic. With one booth for one sector, the exhibition completely showed Lhasa’s new outcomes of opening up & cooperation and crossing-style innovation development in the aspects of cultural characteristics, high-end equipment and plateau health. Through actively publicizing Lhasa, it further developed the investment market of Lhasa in Beijing, even in other regions of China.

 

This investment promotion conference attracted over 190 enterprises with more than 240 people all over the country. The number of enterprises with leaders who attended this promotion event accounted for over 90%. Totally, 51 projects were signed with total investment of 14.879 billion yuan. 37 projects were signed with total investment of 13.059 billion Yuan on 29th May. Among them, 31 projects were officially signed with total investment of 7.741 billion Yuan; 20 projects of intention were signed with total investment of 7.138 billion Yuan. The investment covered economic and social development areas such as “pure land” health, cultural tourism, infrastructure, modern service and high & new technology. Projects with larger investments included Tibet Jinggang International Darongcheng Construction Project, Tibet Lingfeng International Intelligent Logistics Park Construction Project, Guojin New Energy Automobile Industrial Park, Wanda Plaza and Tibetan Architecture Expo Park.

 

An activity of tasting healthy special food from “Tibetan plateau, pure land” was also held by Lhasa delegation in this conference. It also showed meat of Damxung yaks which live in the over 4,200-meter-altitude area and is known as one of top three alpine region animals in the world (the other two are polar bears and Antarctic penguins); cold-resistant highland barley which grows in the area of 3,800-4,500 meters above the sea level and is irrigated by snow mountains springs; meat of Tibetan pigs which have unsaturated fat and live in mountain forests all year round; other food products with plateau characteristic such as Tibetan butter, Tibetan chicken, tricholoma matsutake, agaric and tickseed. Local food ingredients with Tibetan characteristic were transported to the activity site in Beijing by air. Entrepreneurs from all over the country enjoyed various food with plateau characteristic and these food are  known to the public.
