Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway Tickets Go on Sales Today and the trip from Hong Kong to Beijing Takes only 9 Hours

 

Train tickets for Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway are available simultaneously in the Mainland and Hong Kong at 8:00 a.m. today (September 10) and the second-class fare for Hong Kong to Beijing is 1,077 Yuan. It is reported that on September 23, the Hong Kong section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway will officially open, and the running time between Hong Kong West Kowloon Station and Beijing West Station is 8 hours and 56 minutes and the fare is 1,077 Yuan.

 

According to China Railway Corporation, train tickets for Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway are available simultaneously in the Mainland and Hong Kong at 8:00 a.m. today. On September 23, the Hong Kong section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway will officially open, which marks that the mainland high-speed railway network will extend to Hong Kong to realize the high-speed railway interconnection between the mainland and Hong Kong.

 

It is reported that the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway is an important part of China's High-Speed Railway network, with a total length of 141 kilometers, including 115 kilometers in the mainland and 26 kilometers in Hong Kong. According to a principal of some relevant department of China Railway Corporation, during the initial running period of the Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, the MU trains will be arranged to run according to the daily chart, weekend chart and peak chart based on passenger flow.

 

After the Hong Kong section of Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway starts running, it can reach more than 40 stations in the mainland including Beijing, Shanghai, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Wuhan, Changsha, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Shantou, Guiyang, Guilin, Kunming, etc.

 

Among them, starting from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station, the shortest running time of trains is 14 minutes to Shenzhen Futian Station, 47 minutes to Guangzhou South Station, 8 hours and 17 minutes to Shanghai Hongqiao Station and 8 hours and 56 minutes to Beijing West Station.


It is also reported that the first northbound train from West Kowloon Station will head for Shenzhen North at 7 a.m. on the opening day, and the first trains heading for Beijing West and Shanghai Hongqiao will depart at 8:05 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. respectively.

 

The first trains from the mainland to West Kowloon will depart from Shenzhen North at 6:44 a.m. and from Beijing West and Shanghai Hongqiao at 10:00 a.m. and 14:10 p.m. respectively.

 

In terms of fares, the high-speed railway fares between Hong Kong and the mainland cities will be determined by operators of both sides in the way of charging by sections, pricing separately and checking the total receipts, and the fares are priced in RMB. The fares will be floated within the scope of the published fares according to the actual market conditions, and are marked in HKD in Hong Kong and in RMB in the mainland.

 

Among the second-class fares for the non-stop long-distance trains from West Kowloon Station to Beijing-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, Hangzhou-Fuzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway, Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway and Guizhou-Guangzhou High-Speed Railway, the highest ones are RMB1,077 Yuan (about HKD1,239) for Beijing, RMB349 Yuan (about HKD401) for Fuzhou, RMB1,008 Yuan (about HKD1,159) for Shanghai and RMB538 Yuan (about HKD619) for Guiyang respectively.
