As the guest province of honor at this year's fair, Fujian Province organized a delegation to the fair, held the Fujian Theme Day, and organized enterprises to participate in business negotiation activities. By doing so, the province comprehensively displayed its advantageous industries in service trade, publicized and promoted renowned service trade enterprises and excellent service cases, and promoted the development of service industry and service trade.
The Fujian Theme Day, sponsored by the Fujian provincial government and organized by the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, was one of the most important events organized by Fujian as the guest province of honor. The theme was "Restarting Reform and Opening Up, Catching Up with Help of Service Trade." The theme day publicized and displayed the achievements of service trade innovation and development in Fujian, as well as the achievements of the service industry's opening up. Service trade project promotion and business negotiations were also parts of the theme day. Fan Shijie, Deputy Director of the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce, and Yan Ligang, Director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, attended and addressed the theme day. The activity was also attended by Wu Nanxiang, Director of the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province, the department's vice director Liu Depei, as well as heads of relevant departments and offices. Also present were representatives of 10 associations including the China Association of Trade in Services, leaders from eight enterprises from Taiwan including Formosa Plastics and Foxconn, as well as nearly 300 invited exhibitors and clients from related industries.
Wu Nanxiang made a speech on the wider opening up of the province's service sector and the innovative development of service trade, and sincerely welcomed guests to invest in Fujian and share the dividends from Fujian's opening up and development. Fuzhou, Xiamen and Pingtan, the country's three demonstration cities for service outsourcing, publicized and promoted projects of service outsourcing demonstration, national cultural export bases and international tourism islands. Fuzhou Rockchip Electronics Co., Base FX (Xiamen) Cultural Development Co., Foxit Software Inc., Xiamen Dianchu Technology Co., HQTS Co., and Wagon (Pingtan) Logistics Co. also made project introductions as leading service traders in Fujian.
At the launch ceremony of "Quintessence of China's Fujian Cuisine," Wu Nanxiang, Director of the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province; Fan Shijie, Deputy Director of the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Commerce; and Yan Ligang, Director of the Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce, giving the books to delegates as a gift.
