  ▲On the morning of August 14, the Information Office of Beijing Municipality held a special press conference on the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition of the 2020 CIFTIS. Wang Jiequn, Deputy Director of Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and Director-General of Beijing Municipal Radio and Television Bureau, Zhang Youlin, Deputy Director and Level 1 Inspector of CCPIT Beijing, and Chen Wei, Director of the Comprehensive Construction Planning Division of the Cultural Center of Publicity Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, attended the press conference and introduced the overall arrangement and preparations for the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition of the 2020 CIFTIS, and answered questions from the media.

  Mr Wang Jiequn introduced that: “As an important part of the 2020 CIFTIS, in the framework of the preparations of the CIFTIS, the leading group of the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition was established and special work teams set up to strengthen overall planning and coordination, and extensive invitations were sent to outstanding cultural enterprises and well-known institutions in and out of China. By now, more than 600 cultural enterprises and institutions have confirmed their participation, including 9 Fortune 500 enterprises and more than 100 industry leaders. Many of them come from the United States, the UK, Germany, France, Russia, and Japan.

  Now I would like to introduce the relevant situation of the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition of the 2020 CIFTIS.

  The first focus is the theme, which is defined to promote the high-quality development of the cultural industry.

  With the theme of “Cultural Creativity Enriches Human Life", this thematic exhibition will be organized to fully demonstrate the significant achievements and development plans of the national cultural center construction, enhance the integration of culture and technology, finance, tourism, sports and other sectors, advance the development of cultural trade, strengthen international cultural exchanges and cooperation, create an important window for the prosperity of socialist culture, and strive to increase the soft power of Beijing as the capital and the influence of Chinese culture. As we are all aware that cultural industry has become a major engine for the high-quality development of Beijing's economy and an important part of the construction of the national cultural center. This year, due to the breakout of COVID-19, the development of cultural industry and cultural trade have also been affected to a certain extent. In the context of routine epidemic prevention and control, the successful organization of the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition is of great significance to boost the transformation and upgrading and high-quality development of the cultural industry, bring up confidence for development, accelerate the cultivation of a number of cultural enterprises with strong international competitiveness, satisfy the cultural consumption demand of the masses, and stimulate cultural innovation and creativity.

  The second focus is the content, which should highlight the rich connotation of the exhibition.

  Relying on the functions of gathering, radiating, driving, leading, disseminating, communicating and guaranteeing of the national cultural center, a “six in one” offline platform integrating comprehensive activities, exhibition and display, promotion and transaction, forum and conference, creative activities and sub-venues, and a “Cloud ICIE” digital platform have been built. A number of outstanding cultural enterprises and projects will be promoted to facilitate the matchmaking of cultural industries and capital, and cultural and creative projects with regional characteristics and market prospects will be unveiled in a centralized manner; a number of conferences such as the China Cultural Industry Development Summit Forum and the China Digital Publishing Innovation Forum will be held to provide intellectual support for the high-quality development of the cultural industry; 3 creative activities including the "Gongmei Cup" Beijing Arts and Crafts Innovation Design Competition and the Final of the Cultural and Creative Competition will be organized to create a good atmosphere for the development of urban cultural innovation; sub-venues including Beijing·China Art International Fair and physical bookstore will be set up to carry out online and offline activities such as auction, new book promotion, and live book recommendation. A "Cloud ICIE" platform has been set up to power up the online display and investment cooperation, which will create a never-ending cultural services thematic exhibition. Up to now, more than 1,100 cultural enterprises have registered online for the "Cloud ICIE", and more than 2,100 cultural products have been uploaded to the cloud.

  The third focus is the display pattern, which is designed to present the splendid exhibition areas.

  The Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition consists of 4 major sections: comprehensive display, integrated development, characteristic culture, and cultural exchange, with a total of 12 exhibition areas. Located in the Comprehensive Exhibition Area of the CIFTIS, the main exhibition area fully demonstrates the overall framework of "one core, one city, three belts and two zones" and the basic pattern of "four cultures" in the construction of the national cultural center, focusing on the display of the new technologies, new products and new applications of Fortune 500 cultural enterprises including China Mobile’s Migu, Alibaba Entertainment, and Sony and other industry leaders such as China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation, Perfect World, iQiyi, Penguin Random House, and Universal Studios. The Media Convergence Exhibition Area gathers full-process media, holographic media, full-staff media, and full-effect media to show the integrative development of traditional media and emerging media. Now more than 30 key central media such as People's Daily and new media have confirmed their participation; in the New Audio-Visual Exhibition Area, 5G+8K ultra-HD broadcasting, smart radio and television construction, and the high-quality film and television works will be unveiled. More than 90 enterprises and institutions including Leyard and Taihe Music have been listed as exhibitors; the Digital Cultural Industry Exhibition Area focuses on the latest achievements in the fields of online games, e-sports, digital publishing, and digital music. At present, 32 enterprises and institutions including BJPD and BPH have determined to join the show; the Cultural & Sports Integration Exhibition Area focuses on mass sports and national fitness, and the latest achievements of the development of cultural and sports integration and the sports leisure industry will be shown. At present, 20 enterprises and institutions including People's Sports Publishing House of China have agreed to participate in the exhibition; in the Publishing & Distribution Exhibition Area, new book promotion meetings, reader meetings, live book recommendation and face-to-face interaction activities between writers and readers will be arranged. 28 institutions including Sanlian Taofen Bookshop and NLC Bookstore will participate in the exhibition; the Cultural Industry Park Exhibition Area focuses on the development achievements of Beijing’s cultural industry parks and related content of the integrated cultural-financial development. At present, 15 parks including the National Base for International Cultural Trade (Beijing) have confirmed to take a part; in the Cultural and Creative Products Exhibition Area, various cultural and creative products and projects such as fine arts and crafts, award-winning works of cultural and creative competitions and outstanding cultural and creative works of the youth of Beijing will be displayed. Now 156 enterprises and institutions including Beijing Gongmei Group, Tiantan Park, China Science and Technology Museum will make attendance; each district’s exhibition area will promote and display the characteristics of their cultural industry development in Beijing. At present, 129 enterprises including Kaixinmahua have agreed to participate in the exhibition; the embassies and business associations of countries along the "Belt and Road" are invited to carry out cultural promotions and exhibitions at the Characteristic Cultural Exhibition Area. By now, the embassies of Greece, Belgium, Ethiopia, Pakistan and other countries in China have confirmed to participate in the event; the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Cultural Cooperative Development Exhibition Area will focus on the achievements of the coordinated development of artistic creation, cultural creativity, and cultural tourism in the three places. 15 enterprises including Scenery Culture will make presence in this area. In the cultural industry exhibition area for provinces, regions and cities, the development achievements of their characteristic cultural enterprises, cultural products and services will be displayed. Outstanding cultural enterprises from Jilin Province, Shenzhen City and other provinces, regions and cities will take part in the exhibition as an exhibitor.

  In the context of routine epidemic prevention and control, based on the Cloud CIFTIS digital platform, a "Cloud ICIE" digital platform with the characteristics of Beijing and this era has been elaborately established for the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition.

  The "Cloud ICIE" platform consists of 7 major sections: cultural expo news, comprehensive news, cloud exhibition hall, promotion and transaction, forum and conference, creative interaction and celebrity live room. Among them, the expo news section will be used to publish thematic news on cultural services, release event information, and multimedia (such as text, pictures, and videos) display and information release are supported. The comprehensive news section will be used to introduce the functions and characteristics of the "Cloud ICIE" and publish the relevant policies, regulations and service support system of Beijing for the cultural industry and cultural trade. The Cloud exhibition hall section is designed with 12 exhibition areas. Through diversified templates, personalized needs of exhibitors can be satisfied and the automatic pooling of exhibitor types can be realized, to improve the experience of the audience and visitors. The promotion and transaction section provides virtual scenarios and online technical support for project promotion, exhibits trading and service trading on the cloud, and live pictures and texts and offline transaction signing videos are available. The back-end data management section is built up to realize the approval and management of information displayed on the front-end.   As one of the eight thematic exhibitions of the CIFTIS, this year's Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition, with the theme of "Cultural Creativity Enriches Human Life", has the following five characteristics:

  The first is diversity. As Mr Wang Jiequn just introduced, the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition focuses on the presentation of enterprises, including 4 major sections and covering 12 exhibition areas with a display area of more than 35,000 m2. In addition, there will be 5 promotion and transaction activities, 7 forums or conferences, 3 creative activities and 3 sub-venue events, involving abundant arrangements. In early September, a splendid cultural feast will be presented to everyone to contribute to the high-quality development of the cultural industry.

  The second is integration. The Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition will be centered on the theme of "Global Services Shared Prosperity" of the CIFTIS, closely following the development trend of cultural integration, focusing on displaying the latest development achievements of culture + products & services, culture + trade, culture + international communication, culture + finance, culture + tourism and culture + sports, highlighting the characteristics of trade in service, and powering the development of culture.

  The third is cutting-edge technologies. The Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition will highlight technology leadership, emphasize interaction and experience, and make full use of technologies such as virtual reality, holographic imaging, and multimedia methods such as sound and light to create the best display effect.   The fourth is cohesion. Adhering to an open vision, the organizers has gathered a wide range of resources for the Cultural Services Thematic Exhibition. At present, more than 600 outstanding enterprises in and out of China covering various cultural fields such as culture and art, radio and television, news publishing, animation and games are participating in this exhibition. China Mobile, Alibaba, Sony and other Fortune 500 giants, China National Publications Import and Export (Group) Corporation, iQiyi, Universal Studios and other domestic and foreign industry leaders will all unveil their new technologies and new products. In addition, we have also built up a "wall of brand cultural institutions" to show the logos of nearly a hundred high-quality exhibitors, including but not limited to top 30 national cultural enterprises like FANTAWILD, Beijing’s top 30 like Guardian Auctions, central key cultural enterprises like FLTRP, representative enterprises of provinces, regions and cities like China South Publishing, national cultural export key enterprises like HONAV, and foreign brand cultural enterprises like Dolby.

  Secondly, the event is intended to present the overall picture of the construction of the national cultural center. For example, Xinhua News Agency’s smart vlog generation system can capture images dynamically and in real time through shooting robots, smart cameras and other devices, then automatically generate exquisite video clips with the help of AI technologies such as video optimization, and connect directly to the cloud news center through 5G network. For example, the "Five new methods" launched by China Mobile Migu create a full-scenario immersive experience for individual customers in the 5G era from the angles of watching, listening, playing, shooting, and using. Another example is the digital video "The Grand Canal Across Time and Space" exhibited by the Encyclopedia of China Publishing House, which innovatively uses a 3×20m ultra-wide screen to present the ancient and modern features of the Tongzhou Canal section in Beijing as the core, restoring the busy scene of Tongzhou water transport in the Ming Dynasty, and fully showing the contemporary features of intertwining light and shadow against a blue-green blended backdrop in Beijing's sub-center based on the hand-painted panoramic picture scroll.

  Among them, the five promotion and transaction events will be organized. From a new starting point, a large platform will be built for exchanges and cooperation on projects, funds, talents, and creativity to facilitate the connecting of the cultural industry chain and industrial integration, and promote the transaction of cultural products and cultural services. The specific events include: Beijing Cultural Integration Development Project Briefing, Beijing Cultural Industry Park Briefing, Beijing Cultural Industry Investment and Financing Project Promotion and Business Cooperation Briefing, Cultural Finance Innovation Project Signing and Brand Briefing, and Beijing International Music & HiFi Show.
