  On the morning of August 18, the Media Briefing on the Preparations for the Tourism and Travel-Related Services Thematic Exhibition of the 2020 CIFTIS was organized at the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. Wang Yue, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), Du Tao, Deputy General Manager of the Omni-channel Center of Wangfujing Group (representative of exhibitor), and Zhang Xuejing, Senior Corporate Communication Director of Beijing Universal Resort, attended the briefing. More than 40 major central and Beijing-owned media, including CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, Beijing Media Network, Beijing Daily, and Hong Kong Wenhui Newspaper, participated in the media briefing.

  Wang Yue, Deputy Director-General of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, introduced the work of Beijing's tourism service trade in recent years, the preparations and main features of the Tourism and Travel-Related Services Thematic Exhibition: a) Focus on the functional positioning of Beijing and promote international exchanges and economic & trade exchanges; b) Focus on showing the development achievements of tourism service trade and publicizing the opening-up and potential of China's tourism market; c) Comprehensively promote the tourism destination resources and tourism-generating region resources of Beijing as an international exchange center and a national cultural center; d) Actively apply scientific and technological means to upgrade the way of organizing exhibitions, and create a never-ending tourism thematic exhibition; f) Actively respond to the epidemic and restart the tourism market.

  Li Baochun, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the WTCF, introduced the preparations for the main forum "World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development" and the main exhibits of the WTCF in the exhibition. Hosted by the WTCF, the "World Conference on Tourism Cooperation and Development" is one of the four core conferences of the 2020 CIFTIS, and is also the only conference held by an international organization during the 2020 CIFTIS. With the theme of "Rebuilding World Tourism for Prosperity", the conference consists of an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, the release of research results, forum sessions, the Tourism Investment and Financing Conference and the special program titled "Insight of Professionals". It aims to play the role as an international platform, promote exchanges and sharing in the global tourism industry, and promote the prosperity of the world tourism industry.

  Du Tao, Deputy General Manager of Omni-channel Center of Wangfujing Group, introduced the group's omni-channel operation system and tax-free business, especially the characteristic exhibit in the exhibition, namely the presentation of smart stores.

  Zhang Xuejing, Senior Corporate Communication Director of Beijing Universal Resort, introduced the construction progress of Beijing Universal Resort and the exhibition arrangements. As a widely anticipated theme park tourism destination, Beijing Universal Resort will actively participate in the summits, forums and exhibitions of the 2020 CIFTIS, and make use of the platform to exchange and interact with the industry thought leaders and industry representatives in the global service trade field, especially in the cultural tourism industry.

  The 2020 CIFTIS will be held in early September in Beijing, and the Tourism and Travel-Related Services Thematic Exhibition, as one of the eight thematic sectors, will be concurrently held on the ground floor of the CNCC. With the theme of "Travel connects the world, Travel lights up the life", and with three core content: "Exhibition, Forum, Conference" to be established in the vital function of tourism in boosting international exchanges and the development of service trade, the BITE 2020 aims to connect international and domestic negotiation resources and strives to create a new platform for tourism service trade through online and offline exhibitions and two forums.
